Immediate danger? Call 911 in the United States. Klose is not an emergency service, and no app can guarantee another person’s identity or safety.
Before meeting
- Keep early conversations in the app and take your time.
- Protect your home address, workplace, daily routine, financial details and verification codes.
- Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or account access to someone you meet through dating.
- Remember that appearing nearby is not proof of identity or good intentions.
When you meet
- Meet in a busy, public place. Avoid a private home for a first meeting.
- Tell a trusted friend where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to check in.
- Arrange your own transportation and keep a way to leave.
- Keep control of your drink and belongings. Leave if you feel pressured or uncomfortable.
Respect is required.
Klose is for adults 18 and older. Use one account, an accurate birth date, and a real, clear photo of your own face. A nickname is welcome; impersonation is not.
- Respect boundaries. No harassment, stalking, threats, coercion or unwanted repeated contact. A match is not consent.
- Keep content appropriate. No nudity, explicit sexual content, exploitation, violent content or content involving minors.
- No hate. No slurs, discriminatory abuse or encouragement of violence.
- Be honest. No fake profiles, impersonation, age misrepresentation, scams or deceptive requests for money.
- Keep it personal, not promotional. No spam, malicious links, commercial solicitation or automated profile scraping.
- Protect privacy. Do not expose someone’s private information or share intimate content without consent.
We can remove content, hide profiles or ban accounts for safety concerns and rule violations. Automated checks help but can make mistakes; screened photos and badges are not safety guarantees.
If something feels wrong
Stop responding, leave the situation if you can, and use Report or Block from a person’s photo, a chat menu, or a long-pressed match. Choose Underage if you believe a user is a minor. An Underage report hides that profile pending review.
Reports are private from the reported person. Blocked users are not sent a block notification, although they may notice that a profile or chat is unavailable. Blocking and unmatching cannot remove copies someone already saved.
